goated anime with goated ending is soon to be chihayafuru when s4 drops... god i pray we get an announcement as soon as the manga concludes
Really depends on which team they pick I'm choosing Team Arata
Thought about checking out high school dxd but didn’t realize it was more than 1 season
Did you watch High school of the dead? It's one season but never ended

i think arata will win but im a much bigger fan of taichi's story arc
is it me or do most animes and manga just not really end that well? like dope concepts as stories but the endings are either super divisive boring or just so jarring its stupid. thats just what i think tho
I feel like half the anime I watched that has an ending, has a bad ending
I used to care before about ppl liking SAO. Now I get it it can just be fun if you don't care about the plot.
It's a little problematic it has a tentacle rape scene and children watch it but it's mild for an anime I guess
honestly the only thing i argue with sao fans about is when they say S1 was fine. that show had like 4 good episodes. u can't round that up to S1 being ok

Bro dropped a classic on our heads and managed to die right after somehow

Yeah but knowing that Arata confessed I'm kinda rooting for him because he sees her like twice a year and he said that? While Taichi is just scared to do it and scared of his mom? I mean I feel for him but she needs someone who knows what he wants because she's so oblivious to it
man I dunno how y’all remember character names and specific details from shows you watched years ago
literally don’t remember anything about anime I watched even like 2 months ago

I think about this anime a lot actually

Chihayafuru in particular I watched with a friend (he told me watch it or he'll stop being my friend) so we had conversations about it so I do remember the main characters at least
If it's an anime I didn't talk to anyone about I definitely forget the names

journey > destination
Generally, if you need to wait for the ending of a show to get you to go from not liking it to liking it, then it means you just dont like the show at all and youre just lying to yourself to justify the time you wasted on the show imo.
The last 10% of an anime being terrible doesnt change the fact that the first 90% were great. Likewise, the last 10% of an anime being great doesnt change the fact that the first 90% was terrible.
Hell, i'd even go as far as to say that the ending is the most irrelevant part of a show and that if I magically forgot the final 1 or 2 episodes of every anime ive watched not a single one of my scores for them would change.
I agree in some cases. Like I don't care how One Piece ends it's up there. Still an amazing anime with the longest journey.
Even Soul Eater sort of. This anime had a very bad ending but all the other episodes were really good so I can't lie and say it was bad.
But sometimes ending just feels like a slap in the face and like a lot of the anime depended on it. The Promised Neverland is like that.

Haven’t seen yet but will watch eventually

No lol
A good friend you guys would like him he likes Monogatari and Jojo and seasonal romcoms
I think it depends on the length of the show. Short shows really need to nail the ending to wrap up everything nicely. If you have a 12 episode show and the last 2 or 3 episodes feel rushed, slapped together. leave you with a bunch of plot holes and a bad ending then it really hurts the overall show as a complete package.
But if you're gonna dedicate 50 or 100+ episodes worth of your time to something then yeah the ending (as long as it isn't complete dogshit) shouldn't be the decider of if the show is good or not. If you've committed that much time to something then you've obviously found something special in it that kept you watching for that long.
Agreed
“Ratatouille was just french Evangelion but about a chef” - @p_p

Wow I f***ing love this comparison

The horniest anime ever to be green lit

The idea of being stuck in the game and some of the fight scenes were good, but definitely a lot of dumb s*** right in that first arc, like the stupid hacking scene or the villain being like “idk why I did this”.
