Vagabond, HunterxHunter, Jojo's and Kingdom are some of the ones i enjoyed at kinda the same level

HxH is one of my faves forever, but the manga isn't nearly the same scope as Berserk. Vagabond yet to read but I think I might agree. Jojo yet to read too, but it has so many parts not sure if I can just jump into.
Ah i see, yes I agree HxH is definitely one of the most entertaining anime/manga there is, moreso the anime tho

I get it, cant really compare a shonen with a seinen and berserk at that but i do believe HxH is good enough to be with the top animanga ranks
For Jojo's i would suggest watching it then reading it, its more enjoyable that way cause the adaptation is 100% worth watching
And last, you will be blown away with Vagabond, i strongly suggest to start there
Remind me of the time I wanted to learn piano bc of naruto osts
Grave of the fireflies got me all types of f***ed up god damn
f***ed up my day when i watched it

So anyone got some deep thoughts about ranking of king plot?
Like it seemed it was trying to be some big grande overarching story? However, it quickly wrapped up and finished giving Boji a power boost in one season with a kingdom going through three exchanges of power?

There is a grand overarching story, the Ousama Ranking, but the first part of the story did not need to focus on it. The first part of the story was basically Bojji's origin story with some scattered references to the overarching plot point of the Ousama Ranking to remind us that it exists and will play a role later in the series. Even if the Ousama Ranking wasn't the main focus, it was still a driving force in the actions of many of the characters. Outside of some complaints about the execution of some stuff, I can't really see what the first act did wrong when it comes to accomplishing its goals.
The three exchanges of power are irrelevant, it's glossed over because nobody cares. The focus is on Bojji's growth. Likewise, Bojji's power boost is also irrelevant. The characters don't follow him because of his combat prowess, they follow him because of his character.

Yeah, I just kinda felt how the plot was given was kind of convoluted, but I got the main points and ideas. I didn't realize this was just an origin story for the first season. I still liked it overall.
