Isn't the anime expected fall 2022? I'd always say read the manga first but that's just me lol, Chainsaw man is goated and I don't doubt mappa will do a great job with it. Just depends if you're good with waiting/having the anime be your second go through of the story as opposed to it all being new to you

Yeah it's just after reading Berserk vol 1 I realize why so many ppl in the anime community recommend reading the manga over watching the anime. Story is more fleshed out and feel like moments and events are more graphic and explicit

Yeah that's just the nature of anime adaptations ig some things can get lost in translation even in the best cases. But having it be brought to life can add a lot to the experience, just ofc it has to be a great adaptation or else it feels lacking compared to the source material. I do tend to prefer the manga but I don't think you can go wrong either way with Chainsaw Man, we'll have to see how good the anime is but I'm sure based off mappas track record it'll be a great time
