I feel like the trial and error cycle of dying becomes redundant after awhile

The characters lol. The premise itself while not being anything new is interesting enough, but the characters get cringe. Looking back, the best parts about it were when subaru was dying and struggling, because the story would be at its best with his struggle to find a path that would cause the fewest losses. And hes less of a p**** b****, not that being a p**** is necessarily a bad thing, but in his case hes just a superficial simp so its not even compelling to watch, unlike for example shinji who's super layered and complex. Supporting cast is meh too, with the only one standing out being the hisoka looking dude. And i guess i cant stand the isekai tropes anymore, even if "well done". I think i was able to overlook all that because i was a teenager when i first watched it so the weaker aspects didnt stand out as much. With konosuba i dont even care about any of this, its a comedy with the sole purpose of not taking itself seriously, the problem is if the jokes stop being funny to me
