Yeah idk what the deal is, and sadly a lot of people write off chimera altogether because of that. Which is bs cuz the highs more than make up for it, miniature rose, tall hair gon and the final shogi match are top tier all time anime moments

But yea I only recently put yorknew ahead of chimera after rewatching, chimera used to be my goat shounen arc, so I def understand that opinion. Yorknew just feels flawless

Whoever wrote Beastars def put some time into the characters. Louis for me is the most interesting and they do a good job giving us mixed feelings about him throughout. The show isn’t perfect but personally I put characters over everything else and they did a pretty perfect job with them so I’d give it a 8.5-9/10.

any anime heads in here heard of or watched darker than black? I feel like it was obscure but I checked it out just because it seemed interesting and it ended up being one of my favorite animes ever (haven't watched that much tho)

Yorknew is my favorite, I’ve always been a fan of mystery and Kurapika is my fav character

never heard of Blue Exorcist, I'm guessing you didn't like it? either way I would definitely recommend Darker Than Black to anyone who likes psychological warfare type animes, not sure if that's the actual category it would fall under but that's what it reminds me of
