People got different rating systems .

A lot of people use 7 as average (for some stupid reason) but I use 5 as average. For me a 7 is probably in the top 10% of shows I've watched. He might just have a different rating system than you where 5 is his average.

Eizouken a cool, essential tier watch cause it shows many insights on behind the scenes of the industry and they really nail the perspective of the creators. Feels like it accomplished those better too than similar shows that also go for such themes like Shirobako, Bakuman. It just that the story which serve as vehicle to carry all those above wasn't hitting to me at all, I'm losing interest as it moves on and by the end it lost me

S3 Chihaya wack cause almost the entirety of its runtime was focused on people Idgaf at all (not main characters) but gotta admit the last 2 eps was amazing, really the seasons saving grace to me

For me 5+ is watchable, 7 is good, 8 I'd watch it again and 9+ is classic territory.
It was just a little disappointing to see cause Maasaki Yuusa is a GOAT for me (tatami Galaxy is one of the rare anime I'd give 10/10) so I thought he was back with another classic
