I understand that viewpoint. I just find it hard to watch an anime in the triple digits because I feel like I’m wasting my time.
For example most anime these days I watch are 13 episodes or 24 episodes.
I can watch 20 different anime in the time it would take me to finish all of Gintama. This isn’t even an estimate either, I did the math (19.5, so I just rounded up to account for 11 or 12 episodes anime)
To me watch 20 varied anime seems like a more valuable use of my time rather than spending it all on just Gintama.
I enjoyed every episode of yu yu hakusho tho
I once started bleach and watches like 120 episodes and then I was like tf I am doing and wtf is this s*** cuz the same cliché things was happening again and again
I dont even think if I'll try watching something that long ever again

I agree with you logic but to be fair Bleach is a garbage anime
I also prefer smaller shows, but eventually there are times when you don't have anything you really wanna watch and then it's cool to have a longer series to come back to from time to time to continue
And then when you find sth dope again you pause it, can't imagine watching 300 episodes from start to finish
Finally finished MHA
Def grew to like it over time, the fights and villains fire.. could do w some of the more slice life s*** tho
Oh yeah Endeavor a f***ing beast
Is Demon Slayer something to pick up? I actually only like to watch long running series w multiple seasons or an anime that already ended
New anime difficult to keep up, will forget most s*** by next season

when you relate to certain characters and underlying themes and invest time and feelings in it you roll with it till the end
I feel you tho...anything over 500 eps is like 50 different series
