UBW is partially tainted by the 2005 original DEEN adaptation of Fate/Stay Night being dogshit and that sticks in some peoples minds.
I think both we're pretty amazing.

i mean of course we knew the gist of how it had to end cuz of UBW, but man there was like no climax other than Saber feeling betrayed by Kiritsugu. like it felt very incomplete and almost like the writers just said “fuck it, this is within the realm of what happens in UBW so we can just leave it at this”

It was just okay to me. Not bad, not good. Just alright. The concept itself was interesting and different from UBW and F/Z though.
