DMWRlord forgive me, i got bored enough to check out SAO season 2
tbf the gungale online arc aint even that bad. its pretty average but compared to the atrocity that was the alfheim online arc im relieved. and the yuki kajiura OST delivered as always

Hajime no Ippo, to me, has the better cast, way funnier more adult oriented comedy and fights are top tier. It also helps that it got so many ep too.Finna watch this one day

quite solid so far.
A few new and interesting characters plus more depth into the story just like any 2nd season should be
but rezero is one of those shows where the ending can either make or break it

i had these issues with it too im not saying it was even good but after alfheim my expectations were low and it met them - most of the arcs in SAO2 were about on par with aincrad imo with the exception of the excalibur one which was a genuine waste of time
if i had to watch it weekly though all those episodes in the damn cave wouldve driven me mad, i was mashing on my right arrow key like crazy watching it

theres definitely better shows out there but at the very least if youre curious about SAO you should watch S2 for yourself instead of following the blind hate train. with yuki kajiura on the OST you can even squint your eyes and pretend youre watching kara no kyoukai again lol
i heard similar things about season 3 and beyond so im checking it out myself rn, but i dont have an answer for that at the moment.
