Was thinking of that when i made the post. They did such a wonderful job with vinland. Even tho its impossible to replicate murata's art wit the only studio that can come close

Is anyone else not really feeling paranoia agent? Like I know the dude who did perfect blue and paprika did it but it just doesn't feel on ths same level as those works. The characters just aren't hooking me and that was my favorite thing about those movies. Only half way through though so ill wait to judge

a wit berserk adaptation would divide fans into a) those that can appreciate a good adaptation and b) those disappointed that the anime dont look exactly like the manga

I stopped watching sao in the middle of the 1st alicization season

last time I truly enjoyed sao was the ordinal scale movie

yeah the first half of alicization S1 kinda drags since they talk your ear off so I don't blame you. the second half of alicization S1 + war of underworld 1 is some of SAO's best content though imo, but WoU2 ends the arc off badly bc of kirito doing kirito things.

tbh i thought ordinal scale was kinda corny, but i enjoyed it for what it is and got some good laughs. the fact that they gave asuna a nude scene for no reason killed me lmao

the one thing I didnt like bout alicization eps is that in all previous seasons we got scenes of what was happening both in the virtual world and in real life

but alicization was at least 80% virtual reality and was like ''fuck asuna lets save this random girl alice''

I just wasnt feeling it....but I might get back to it when I got nothing to watch

thats true i liked the integration of real and virtual worlds too (something pretty unique to SAO) but once the action started i felt alicization was a pretty competent isekai with more interesting mechanics than any of the previous VR worlds. war of underworld does put focus back onto the real world but there are pros and cons to it.

i only caught up to SAO bc i was stuck on what to watch next too so i feel you SAO aint going nowhere dw

S1 was kinda underwhelming to me so S2 being this good makes me really happy

To me it got from cool but lowkey boring to cool and slowly getting kinda interesting. Last episode was the only one besides the first that got me a little excited for more

I watched the anime since it was a pretty faithful adaptation until the end with the nationals arc. The cast is very likeable sometimes the mc is kinda annoying but he has enough moments where you can forgive it. The artwork especially with the final game was amazing. The ending however felt hella rushed it and i actually feel like it should've been longer. it was really weird how it just built up a bunch of characters in the nationals only for them to be completely forgotten or just sitting observing the game.
