yup just finished vinland saga, what a f***ing show - s*** really started picking up for me like halfway thru, i couldn’t stop watching

also refreshing perspective on the subject matter and s***, don’t ever think i’ve seen viking type stuff used to such effect bc it doesn’t even come off corny or shoehorned in any way

Top 5 show of the year. Great cinematography. Great animation. Its a character study and a little different from a lot of the other shows you watched but might as well start branching out now and make an attempt to be more open minded early on instead of being one of those guys who have seen like 50 shows with all of them being the same 1-2 genres.

Yea dw i’m pretty open minded about animes, I realized that most shonens/action styles are pretty generic/trash. In love with the short format right now. Thanks for the advise. Sad cuz it’s not on Crunchyroll though.

i also liked demon slayer as far as cut and dry anime goes (bc the animation and tropes were very well executed) and i ain’t watch too much from this year, but yes, the pacing was great in a sort of non traditional sense, character all captivating and when it grabs you, you’re stuck. was really blown away as far as not expecting it

Demon Slayer obviously also goat as well

Vinland Saga, Demon Slayer, and Promised Neverland are probably my top 3 from this year
