Ngl i disliked all the asspulls this episode. First, ray for some reason left the exact coordinates of their hideout in episode 1, bascially exposing themselves to the enemy. Dont know why he did that. Then, when testing food that may very well be poisonous and deadly, not 1 but 3 are ready to possibly sacrifice themselves. Lastly, the huge demon that conveniently kills only the soldiers and lets the kids escape. Unrelated, but im also kinda iffy on isabella and her goals now, but i hope she hasnt just returned to being evil again, it would make her character arc last season worthless.

Dr stone is quite entertaining. Its not anything mind blowing but i never end up getting bored with it. Pretty nice so far!

Good:

• Mostly funny and entertaining
• Haru is a fun interesting character
• I enjoy the friend group and the slice of life stuff

Bad:

• The main couple wasn't very romantic
• Shizuku is pretty boring and unlikable (I get that it's the point)
• The "love triangles" were pointless
• The anime didn't feel resolved, feels like it ended mid season
• The little background we got on each character didn't add up to anything
• Girls getting punched in the face isn't funny imo

I honestly dont understand why last episode was so bad since the mangaka is working on the anime adaptation too. Idk how the manga is but i know they skipped an entire arc and i dont understand why. My guess is the author heard the criticism tpn got and they're trying to change the story, but as of now its just a rushed mess. Hope it gets better but idk

Favorite anime this season, with all due respect

I can see why you’re iffy on how it’s gonna go so I’m also hoping that next few episodes are gonna be heaters. If they do end up changing the story a lot I won’t mind bc I do plan on reading the manga eventually. Either way I’m gonna stick through the show this season good or bad. Let’s hope it’s good tho 🙏🏻

Agreed on scums wish. I watched it all but personally it just felt so cynical that it started to feel like it was more just someone being really edgy rather than telling a genuine story

You should definitely check out rezero directors cut then, 13 episodes, each around 50 min.
Another one is helsing ultimate, should only be watched if you are into gore tho.
