Can you explain AOT4 and Horimiya scores? Both were really good
Was great but honestly forgot how it ended
He fought that muscular alien dude and he did like a 10 minute speech... Really boring conclusion
I always loved mha despite the memes
the latest manga developments are turning haters to believers
and this season is just going to cement that
ya luv to c it
That's what u said last season which was mid af
doing side by side comparisons of the houseki manga and anime i can safely say orange's adaptation is amazing
not that any of that was required to appreciate the top notch directing
Can I ask this thread something about Orange?
Isn't it f***ed up that They all worked together to set up the main girl with the suicidal dude? I mean it's cool they're trying to save his life but, she's literally married to the other guy and they have a baby :clapdead: You're telling me they're basically killing the baby and their relationship. I'm sure there's some other way to prevent him from killing himself. Like therapy?

theyre talking about the Orange, the animation studio, not the anime orange lol
I shaved my beard then picked up a high school girl
crazy title
apparently manga readers sayin it aint rly grooming cuz the MC is into another co worker for a lot of time and the teenager is nearly 18 when she moves in. They also say the dude in his early 20s so the age gap isn't really that big.
The range of opinions over the last two pages is outlandish
Ok that episode of MHA was much better than the first.
Can you explain AOT4 and Horimiya scores? Both were really good

Well first, image above to provide context for how I generally score stuff since I know there's a lot of people who think anything below a 7 is terrible.
AOT4 I don't think any of the characters are particularly interesting outside of Reiner. The animation didn't look great other than a couple notable scenes such as Gabi reloading a gun, or the Scout's maneuvering up to the blimp. CGI looked ugly. Some of the new thematic threads that were introduced are OK, but until the series ends and I see how those thematic threads are closed they just seem kinda standard right now.
Horimiya was fine. I didn't give a f*** about any of the characters in the show. They all felt like generic people with generic dynamics. But the compositing was very pretty and the show didn't do anything egregiously bad I guess. It just all felt like a standard junk food romcom to me.

Well damn I hope nobody clicked then

it was fire. Not my fault you didnt like it and I keep saying that cause mha has been getting better ever since

my winter rankings
AOT S4: 9/10 (honestly just outside of some eps feeling like straight up exposition dumps, this is pretty much what the peak of anime looks like. Exceptional worldbuilding, storytelling, and it even fixes what I had always felt was the weakest aspect of AOT: its characters. Reiner and Eren are all time anime characters with how well they have been developed. Very excited to see it end)
Mushoku Tensei: 7.5/10 (its problematic but I also don't think the show has glorified its protagonist at all, if anything it has shown how he is not actually special and has many flaws outside of his f***ed up perversions. Exceptional worldbuilding so far as well and I like the narrative approach, but it still feels a bit like a generic isekai even if its considered the anime that birthed a lot of the tropes.)
Wonder Egg Priority: 7/10
Re:Zero S2 Part 2: 6/10
HoriMiya: 5/10 (wholesome and fun to see but its so bland and forgettable in the grand scheme of things)
TPN S2: 0/10 (yeah this was an abomination)

4-5 is bad territory for me it's like a 2 star
Anyways I think the main focus in AOT4 was the plot and I thought it was really interesting, felt like a lot of plot and world development happened and I was at the edge of my seat every week
I've seen a lot of people criticize the animation, I didn't really notice it being bad apart from a few CGI titans
As for the characters, I guess I don't care either, got you there
Now for Horimiya. Didn't you think it's good for a romance anime? It moves fast and doesn't rely on tropes that usually derail romance anime (no big misunderstandings or conflicts that last for several episodes, the characters actually talk to each other, the main couple is interesting and has a lot of chemistry together and I geniuenly thought the jokes were funny?)
I can see it being a pretty standard romance when it comes to plot, but here the plot isn't the point and it's more about the characters. If you didn't like the characters that's understood but what's not to like really. Even the non-Horimiya centered episodes were good.

I still think it peaked at Todoroki's arc but hey I'm still watching

Re:Zero Season 2 Part 2: 6/10
Horimiya: 5/10
The Promised Neverland Season 2: 2/10
Idk if Iโll ever watch as many seasonals as winter 2021 again so Iโll drop some scores too
AOT season 4 - 9/10
Non non biyori s3 - 9/10
Jaku chara tomozaki - 8/10

4-5 is fine for me
My main priorities in anime are characters and theme so that's one of the big reasons why I don't have AOT4 that high. Like you said, it's mostly plot-focused and I really don't care about plot at all.
Horimiya characters weren't bad, but they weren't really that compelling. Like, I can't really describe anything about any of the characters as people other than their one main shtick in the story. They're just kinda there and they pale in comparison to characters in some other stuff like White Album 2 or NANA.

Do you like Fullmetal Alchemist? I'm asking because it's clearly plot focused, but imo all the characters are great.
