yea luckily i only found out after i read the whole original manga to not have it on my conscience, its a good ass shonen, but its wild af that this guy is still writing kenshin as a convicted pedophile

- Blade of the immortal (2019 adaptation and the manga are amazing)
- Sword of the stranger (anime movie)
- Kurozuka (supernatural romance novel adaptation)
- Dororo
- Gintama (gintoki >>> kenshin)
- Drifters
I didnt mention champloo or afro cause everyone's seen those
There's still a lot of samurai anime/manga I havent checked out like Samurai kyo, Kurogane and Shigurui

good point lol. and oh for sure, i’m not tryna be disrespectful i just can’t imagine limiting the media i consume based on arbitrary criteria like that that don’t even effect me personally.
like where is it that the line should be drawn to stop consuming art over details about the creator’s personal life? if the creator has murdered someone? that immediately writes off a lot of musicians and artists. if the creator has committed a s***crime? that writes off another large, mostly male percentage of artists.
eventually you’ve got practically no new art to consume, all because you care so much about something that doesn’t effect you/you could simply choose not to think about .

imagine if that same mangaka made a rom com....some of his disgusting and repulsive actions would ''leak'' on the contents of his work
We dont defend him thats for sure!! BUT...in all honesty artists are people that (sometimes) we look up to, like Oda, Kubo, Togashi, SIU....and I personaly wouldnt be able to look up to someone like the rurouni mangaka
that being said I bet there's HUNDREDS if not thousands of immoral artists we dont even know of
so at the end of the day there's no set in stone answer.....everyone should and can apply their own filters
