when the mc almost 30 years old and he still too scared to hold his own gf hand smh
mfers been dating for 9 episodes now
i put utena on pause to check out revue starlight since i saw swords and music, turns out i just got myself into another utena
not sure which of the two i wanna finish first now, revue starlight off ep1 definitely engaged me more and its shorter, but i do also want to see utena then revue to see the influence from one to the other.

There's one character from Revue thats my favorite char out of all the releases that aired the year it dropped
Id say the stage designs alone makes the show worth checking out but it also proved itself in couple other aspects, especially at being a showcase of utter creativity
Ill probably finish Monogatari at some point
I feel like I kinda overreacted to Nisemonogatari. I mean that whole sexualizing minors s*** is weird and still gross to me but it's not like Cuties or anything.
Plus Japan has different attitudes towards that stuff compared to the West so i dont think it was made with pedophilic intentions
Im gonna hop back on it also. Only watched bake, Kizu, and nise so far but now that itβs summer I can run through the show easily

Starlight director used to work under Ikuhara so thats why the influence is there lol. I've watched both and I liked Revue Starlight more honestly, even if it'll never have the reverence in the community that Utena does. Also, everything that wheatly said about it is facts.
are there any romcom shows that have sex/imply s***like in American tv shows (like not in a hentai/porn sort of way)

classic American coming of age story where they tryna get laid before graduating high school
I just finished watching the PVs of all the upcoming seasonals, and that was the most depressing thing I've ever experienced. I know they're all supposed to be different shows, but it felt like I just watched the same trailer over and over again. I am begging for an industry reset: we really do not need these many isekai.

chose to keep going with revue starlight first, 4 episodes in now and yeah this s*** is dope as f***, i think imma like this one a lot. these audition fights

jjk>ds common knowledge right
Yeah, ds ending is mid and jjk is still ongoing, so this can change if jjk ending or future chapters are aot levels of garbage, which I doubt
Battle Royal - 8/10
I just read this manga and I have to say it was excellent. I loved almost every minute of it. The amount of depth and character development was simply staggering. You REALLY end up caring for characters, even ones who only have like a chapter or two. I highly recommend to read it if you're okay with violence. The artwork was simply magnificent.
Also, I cannot believe how much better this was than the movie. I actually liked the film a lot, but man... They simply did not do most characters justice at all.

Depends on what you watch for in a Shounen. I could see why one would prefer one to the other.
When They Cry is too much of a roller coaster in a bad way
Itβs like it goes from a baby show to an x rated show to a horror show
Iβm only in it for the horror s*** keep everything else

I love higurashi but I feel you on that...the transitions between cute and nightmarish dont connect well
examples of good transitions between cute to horror are Madoka and School-Live
Watch Corpse Party if you want straight up horror s***
