I like Fruits Basket but I only watched the 2001 anime. It was really nice and wholesome. Some of its likability was actually the early 2000's feel, so I don't know how that'll translate into the new anime, but I'll definitely watch the new anime some day because I want to see how the story continues and ends (which it didn't in the original anime).

New one def worth the watch. Beautiful animation Masaru Yokoyama on the ost all the characters get love and contribute to each other’s development nicely
