I havent watched past the 6th episode so i cant comment on that cause i started collecting the manga and plan to read that instead of watching the anime, the animation was mid so i didnt want to continue lol

don't use. probably will soon tho

i can see how utena's repetitive structure and slow story progression may turn people off. personally think the simplistic nature of its plot ties the symbolism together really well and just about every episode has meaning behind it that services this. not to mention its probably the best directing i've come across in a tv anime

but yeah what it comes down to is i just found it enjoyable from beginning to end. a lot of people share your opinion since it can resemble a lot of earlier monster of the week anime on the surface.
