my friend just told season 1 but season 2 is repetitive. guess I just need to watch for myself

the anime had a few good moments but 70% if it was trash and it ended just as the animation and plot started to get into peak shounen territory which is beyond weird

the manga is a must read tho if you're a fan of shounen in general

Season 2 is not as action packed and is a lot more story-telling, and it takes it's time to reach it's conclusion. Episodes are longer, too (most of them have no opening). I think a lot of people go into the show expecting something explosive and action-y when that's not really what Re:Zero is most of the time.

i have such a love-hate relationship with black clover...... it has such a great cast of characters and good fight scenes but god the story is so f***ing generic its so boring to watch sometimes

I like it tho for what it is....it's far from being great but its also far from being absolute trash

the voice actor can crush a diamond with those vocal chords

the writing is definitely hotdog water but the rest of the show is just that good that it isn't absolute trash imo.

I don't really like giving it a pass just because "it's shounen", like you said, it's not really an excuse. Black Clover is by no means bad, for sure.
