it’s a direct quote from my friend who is a manager who tried to get one of our other friends a job and at a point it was out of her hands and left to the AI system which has to sort through 200+ applicants that managers don’t have time to do today because the company has figured out how to save $50k-$200k annually based on company size and amount of hiring managers needed, with this new system due to advancements in business and the need for more efficiency

like we’re literally being trained on an AI system that will move us away from a system we have been using at my company for 30 years lol. the change has affected everything bro, it’s why people are sitting with Master/Docotorates and all the requirements for a job and STILL getting rejected.

it’s hubris and we all know it lmfao, everyone gets a major job and has done amazing things. It’s a new reality that began with the advent of social media posting literally only like 15 years ago so it’s not even a standard in society nor has it ever been lmao

it’s a new medium for people to fall further within their egos as they check off more boxes and get the get nothing more to a dopamine high from likes and comments.

Calling social media posting "new" at this point is quite silly and is proof you're just trying to double down on a terrible take. Why complain about something 15 years after the fact? By definition it is no longer "weird", it's very normal and native to the platform. It would as silly as calling a meme on twitter or a dance trend on tiktok strange or hubris.

Again 15 years is likely to be about half (or more than half) of your life, social media isn't new anymore. LI itself is 22 years old.

The article or quote doesn't support your claim of all hiring being AI now, let's not lie or move the goalposts now, we both know you wasn't arguing about job cuts/layoffs, you specifically was talking about all HR departments and hiring based on one dude you know lmao

I just update s*** and move on. I’ve gotten a few good job offers through LinkedIn but that entire sites taken a complete nose dive post-COVID
