It’s not an uniformed blanket statement actually
it’s a direct quote from my friend who is a manager who tried to get one of our other friends a job and at a point it was out of her hands and left to the AI system which has to sort through 200+ applicants that managers don’t have time to do today because the company has figured out how to save $50k-$200k annually based on company size and amount of hiring managers needed, with this new system due to advancements in business and the need for more efficiency
like we’re literally being trained on an AI system that will move us away from a system we have been using at my company for 30 years lol. the change has affected everything bro, it’s why people are sitting with Master/Docotorates and all the requirements for a job and STILL getting rejected.
AI has f***ed up the job market, you’ll see
Uh huh so 2nd hand info, a quote from one dude you know and some other anecdotes, means "it's all ai now" gotcha
But anyway this is deflecting from the point, you failed to address anything else I said so I assume you know you're wrong about the use LI and people announcing their jobs.

it’s hubris and we all know it lmfao, everyone gets a major job and has done amazing things. It’s a new reality that began with the advent of social media posting literally only like 15 years ago so it’s not even a standard in society nor has it ever been lmao
it’s a new medium for people to fall further within their egos as they check off more boxes and get the get nothing more to a dopamine high from likes and comments.
And here’s an article from literally THREE DAYS ago that supports me. But salute, you know everything lol
cbsnews.com/amp/news/ai-jobs-layoffs-us-2025
Through July, companies have announced more than 806,000 private-sector job cuts, the highest number for that period since 2020, according to Challenger, Gray & Christmas.
Of those layoffs, the technology industry wielded the sharpest axe — private companies in the sector have announced more than 89,000 job cuts, up 36% from a year ago.
And the kicker
Since 2023, more than 27,000 job cuts have been directly linked to the advent of AI. In July alone, rising adoption of generative AI technology by private employers accounted for more than 10,000 job cuts

ok so less jobs, more unemployed people, good luck to all the businesses selling products/services to people with no jobs

Goldman Sachs said AI could potentially replace upwards of 100M+ jobs globally once fully utilized by companies to it’s capabilities…but I’m just being anecdotal lmfao

Calling social media posting "new" at this point is quite silly and is proof you're just trying to double down on a terrible take. Why complain about something 15 years after the fact? By definition it is no longer "weird", it's very normal and native to the platform. It would as silly as calling a meme on twitter or a dance trend on tiktok strange or hubris.
Again 15 years is likely to be about half (or more than half) of your life, social media isn't new anymore. LI itself is 22 years old.
The article or quote doesn't support your claim of all hiring being AI now, let's not lie or move the goalposts now, we both know you wasn't arguing about job cuts/layoffs, you specifically was talking about all HR departments and hiring based on one dude you know lmao
Since I can see how disingenuous you are let's call it a day, you can have the last reply if you like

facts its already getting spooky out here.
Also if you a graphic designer or editor on linkedin; AI/ indian accs been spamming bullshit all over my feed
ok so less jobs, more unemployed people, good luck to all the businesses selling products/services to people with no jobs
We are actually heading towards this. I remember reading somewhere that there should be some sort of A.I. tax or whatever that companies have to pay and it would in turn go to the people

because a “social norm” that is 15 years old that relies on having financial access to even participate, is not a social norm in the grand scheme of how society has functioned for centuries before we entered the massive rise in technology in only 25 years when history and societal norms used to occur and be established over the span of centuries of time. we’re living in a vacuum and is why something that looks normal to you, is not even a reality in 80%+ of the world. most countries in Africa still function like it’s 1999 if we keep the perspective global in how tech and social media has not reached all corners of the world. it’s literally the definition of internet as f*** but for jobs lmao. but sure, LinkedIn accomplishment posting is normal when the tool was created to post long form articles regarding your industry and staying informed with your industry and potential employers
it’s when the social media generation entered linked in, i.e. Gen Z, that it’s switched from what it even looked like in 2018 when i was on there and we were all just sending invites to our high school/college friends/classmates and moving on with life lol
they shifted their entire business model with the increase in focus on social media engagement literally only 5 years ago as we all moved inside due to a once in a lifetime event lmao. So again, not normal.
I just update s*** and move on. I’ve gotten a few good job offers through LinkedIn but that entire sites taken a complete nose dive post-COVID

yea i noticed the change too post-COVID, it just became another social media platform

i didnt say we werent lol, i doubt corpos r gonna pay more tax, just more loopholes, and more tax wont offset the loss of income from work if it did? why even fire them
@op Bro
lmaooo, I’m just waiting on bro to see the light

Agreed but also agree with the posts saying you gotta play the game
Linkedin is so f***ing cringe. I only have one for interviews if the company looks me up.
But I’ve never posted on there and never will
Never have used LinkedIn and most likely never will
S*** turned into the scamming Facebook real quick
I'm proud to announced that I've been let go of my job and now, let me suck their d*** to show how much I appreciated them even though they f***ed me over
Agreed but also agree with the posts saying you gotta play the game
I don't wanna sell out, Stankie.

That’s fine, this money lifestyle isn’t for everybody Danny.
You’re laughing. I just sucked my boss’s d*** and balls in a LinkedIn comment section and you’re laughing.
