destroy US imperialism
if you can be in the street today to protest this coup, please do so
America needs a revolution asap
By far the biggest obstacle for positive change in the world right now.
Worst thing to happen in Bolivia since the (also US-backed) assasination of Che Guevara.
Why they even do a coup when their were already going to be new elections? US really a control freak.
But I think Morales was in the wrong too tho. Didn't he change the law so that he could become the first president with an extra term + these elections were shaky as hell all around. I can understand why a big portion of Bolivians was frustrated by this. Reminds me of some s*** Putin would do.

Why does Bolivia have to have term limits like the US? Germany and plenty of other countries that the US wouldn't consider "authoritarian" don't have them either, plus the only reason the US has term limits is because FDR's social democratic policies were too popular too defeat democratically. And the same thing is the case in Bolivia, why do you think they declined to have elections and instead used the military?
If you think the OAS is not a device of US imperialism I got some other dreams to sell to you

see my post above. the supreme court in bolivia determined term limits to be undemocratic.

What I said wasn't really related to the coup, I'm saying US was in the wrong. But saw a lot videos online of Bolivian protests so a lot of the population didn't agree with the way the elections went. Also I think term limits are a good idea for second/third world countries who are noticeably more prone to becoming authoritarian and corrupt. I don't know any Bolivian tho so I don't know the entire picture.

I might be blind, but I don't see your post

What is the OAS if you don't mind me asking

oh its in a different thread. but yeah, the term limit referendum was overturned.

Okay well you can have your opinion on term limits, that doesn't mean all governments on earth have to follow your ideas?
Evo Morales was democratically elected, please look into the history of US aggression against governments in America. The deciding variable has never been whether the elections are free or fair, it's whether the governments are a threat to the dominance of US capital in that region, and the same thing applies here.

Don't be so aggressive bro, I agree America only takes action when they benefit from it. I never said anything about that all governments have to follow my ideas, I don't even have any real strong opinions on this s***. You clearly do tho so imma leave it that, was just asking some question to gain some knowledge.

What is the OAS if you don't mind me asking
Organization of American States
It's like the UN but for only north and south America
OAS audited the election and said Morales had many irregularities. The vote count was halted for a day during the election, which raised eyebrows.
I need to do more reading about it, heard about the election the radio a few days ago
