Some leftists support China for reasons that have little to do with the US and more with what they see in China itself (I disagree but whatever).

Max Blumenthal and Ben Norton (the guys in the thumbnail) are not part of that group.

the United States’ positon as the world’s most powerful economy is already questioned by China’s rapid economic growth and adjustment plans, but it bears without saying that the world doesn’t abide by Cold War dynamics anymore. It’s no longer the US vs the Soviets; we have multipolarity of actors, some of them are states and some of them are not states (Google, Apple, Huawei... etc). Anyone aligning themselves with any pole is either subscribing to nationalisms and jingoisms or perpetuating world domination but in different image.

China will rule the world economically by 2030, but will the world be a better place? No. The idea is that any state with that much power will be evil and must be something of the past.
