Mr Morale took one year for me to realize it’s easily the best and defining album of the 2020s so far

It’s on TPAB level but maybe even better

I could probably give it some more listens for sure but haven’t been as compelled after my initial excitement. I do think it’s some extraordinary music though

But Mr Morale exposes to me how collectively the music industry has failed to actually capture the spirit of this moment in time

I suppose the escapism of everything else makes some sense too but damn. Kendrick seems like damn near the only artist to actually have captured what we’ve all went through these last few years. And not in an on the nose surface level way either, but in a way that also will transcend the time
