When I was in college this time of the year was the best.
It was the beginning of the term so the workload wasn't too much and also the weather is still so nice.
I remember my 5th in 2016 when Blonde came out and just walking around riverside of my campus listening to Self-Control and Pink + White.
Some of the most tranquil times.
crine u peaked in college??
no l definitely didn't peak
but it was way more relaxing then the job i have now where im stuck inside working at a call center.
i had an easy major so college was a breeze.

what was your major? is the call center just a placeholder job?

advertising
call center is just a job to pay rent/ student loans.
not really planning on getting a job in advertising tho
i wish i thought harder about my major by the time i realized i probably should have majored in something else i already switched programs 3 times.
current plan is to just work my way up in this corp. job until something pops off with dis music.
I miss being able to get drunk in the middle of the day to start partying and it being seen as normal.
But post-grad life is waaay better

I have some friends in advertising right now making good money
How'd you fumble that bag
Dam waste of time
maybe a little
at the same time it made it really easy to get a job out of college and since then i have worked my way up to a higher position with higher pay that i wouldn't have been able to get if i didn't have a degree.
almost every job that paid over 18/hr that i tried to apply for out of college required a degree.

is it marketing or advertising?
Hell nah. The work stressed me tf out. I can always pick up the phone or hit somebody up on social media if I want to chat or hang.

Forreal? I thought most call center jobs was fairly easy to get hired with. Where I’m at most paying 17-18 a hour and all they ask for is like 2 years customer service experience and have computer skills
I miss just walking around with my headphones on listening to whatever music when i was super f***in stressed out in school. now if im super f***in stressed out at work i just gotta sit at my desk and power through it. i really took that for granted

where im at the ones that didn't require degrees were paying in the low teens highest being like 14-15. and even still i feel like with a lot of those jobs if you want to end up making more than an hourly salary in the teens you would have to move up to a position which requires a degree.
right now in my company there are certain positions that i can't even apply for because i don't have my masters.

idk every job that i applied for with advertising required a creative portfolio which I didn't have cause I never did graphic design or writing. there are more jobs within the business side of ad agencies that i can still apply for but i wanted a job in the meantime so i applied for a call center job then i got promoted and started making an hourly salary in the 20s. which was enough for me to live pretty comfortably. since then i've gotten pretty complacent with the job search and i focus all my energy on music making.
nothing much to miss right now
im a senior and evreything good about college is all cancelled lol
I feel lucky to be in college pre-covid and graduated before covid (c/o 2019). Students have it really trash rn
It ain’t even close to the same right now and won’t be for at least a year
