Idk if this belongs in creative but that place is dead. Just wondering if anyone has chosen that career path or even does it as a side thing.
What were the factors that led you to go this path and what level of difficulty would you say there is to really get your foot in the door?

You can write articles for websites to get you started.

Do a lot of writing.
I say that's how you'd have to start.
I do news writing so it isn't the same the language is a bit different and creative writing much more fun.
But I would say you have to build a solid portfolio and share it with websites and companies you'd like to write for.

Once you've established a name or at least a foundation of work with writing you can try to publish your own books.

That's what I was going to do was write for a gaming website but I got a job in TV so I'm rolling with this at least until my contract ends
