Lost $100 because I didn't notice one letter capitalized in the real account and not the fake one. Had my friend point out what happened and I contacted them too. Didn't expect to get my money back, but at least wanted them to be aware.
Checked my account a couple weeks later and had $100 in my balance from them

The most convincing fake profile i've ever seen supposedly getting me to split for a hotel room+weed
Have never been got by a fake before but the girl in the pics was my type+not terribly attractive so i was like no way this would be used as a catfish. Tons of pics too. They also kept talking after the first payment which sealed the deal for me (this is obviously a classic bait and switch but when all the blood is in your d*** it's not easy to realize this

I met them on tinder and they had a lot of receipts so I wasn't even really thinking it could be fake (obviously this is mad stupid but yeah)

im extra protective of my money. id call a hotel over the phone or just book a room at the front desk instead. would never send money over to someone i havent met yet.
