noticed that most of the threads in anime are just mainly shounen anime, anyone watch anything else?

underrated anime, 5 episodes in and i ended up binging 165 chapters of the manga

Tbh I kindve hate shouen anime. Not that I dont understand the appeal cause I grew up on naruto and still can't shake the obsession but besides that feeling of nostalgia shounen just relys on tropes way to much. Even Jojo which I kindve like I can't get into. Started watching carole and tuesday cause of shinchiro but I'm mostly just stuck on FLCL and samurai champloo reruns

Watch / Read Beck: Mongolian Chop Squad. It's anime about a band trying to make it in the music industry, the anime covers like the first two arcs but the manga goes way depper & is really satisfying.

i watch non shonen anime and shonen is like my guilty pleasure. i think the worst genre of anime to me is CGDCT

There's a lot of shows that try to explore interesting concepts. But shounen is an easy market for money purposes or isekai.
