I'm wanting to buy some equipment so I can learn but I know I likely won't be good enough to do parties and s*** for awhile but was wondering how much money you can really make off of it, it's good to have multiple incomes and I'd love to do it even just for fun.
Don’t worry about not being good enough.. you prolly won’t even be able to perform for a live audience till next year
Get to practicing op. Now is the time

My EX GF told me I should’ve been a DJ/MC to get crowds moving because of my energy. That was years ago. D**** destroyed my confidence though :( and I’m old now

Honestly whatever you're comfortable with. I used a cheap Numark controller and it had all the features I needed. I don't do much/any scratching so the wheels are just for beatmatching and it worked good enough for me. I've used VirtualDJ, Serato, and DJay and they all work well. DJay is nice because it has Spotify and Tidal integration
I don't DJ, but I plan on picking it up once I start getting happy with the stuff I produce
Yeah I be mixing on YouTube with like 3 tabs open and I just change the volumes to beat match
what kind of music do you wanna spin
it'll prob be more useful to do current rap s*** so imma ofc do that but i also wanna do 70s soul and 80s pop s***

Yeah man just spin whatever you want
Not sure how bookings work, but if it brings you joy doing it in your own space, it's worth doing :D

You think it’s worth it to by Spotify premium for djay. When I have Apple Music already
