The only way I'd be okay with an outright gun ban is if they were able to get them out of the hands of criminals.

Handguns are clearly more of a public danger than rifles tbh

I would love if we could just reset and keep guns out of the hands of the police and public like a number of comparatively safe countries around the world.

But that's not going to happen in this generation, or perhaps ever, so I am not in favor of a gun ban, only strict regulation.
