Here in Germany its actually the opposite youre not supposed to be on the sidewalk except if there is a sign/ bile road. So in most cases you have to be on the street

i was finally feeling fit and losing weight but now ill stop using the bike because OP hurt my feelings.

could be it never gets seen by a street cleaner so it's a trap for screws and glass and s*** that pops tires

I'm just saying usually bikes are legally allowed to take the full lane and they know they're pissing off dozens of cars, but it's the safest way for them, or even the only legal way as it's illegal to ride a bike on a sidewalk p much everywhere

i hate needing to drive a car but road cyclists in America aren’t making any positive difference and only aggravate folks trying to get through their daily commute

I work in Bethesda md. It’s a high income area with lots of entitled people who call government officials to make sure their streets and bike lanes are always clean. It’s certainly not a trashy area with a trashy bike lane

Even if that were the case, they still ride right in the middle of the lane creating huge amounts of traffic during the morning work rush. I’ve seen nice bikers at least attempt to let cars pass by but these a******s are just casually strolling down the road laughing and smiling about it
