I was in the market for some recently, but wasn't a huge fan of the sound. Ended up going with Sennheiser Momentum 4's for like $250 lol. Actually really love these things. Surprisingly sound great for Bluetooth headphones.
You can probably find some refurbs (basically new ones) from Secondipity. I'd keep an eye on their site and their eBay page if you wanna go that route. I was gonna do that, but got the Sennheisers instead.
wish I could try em on
check best buy
i’m pretty sure they have them on the floor
Think newegg has them cheapest at present
newegg.com/sony-wh-1000xm4-s-over-the-ear-silver/p/0G6-001C-00613
You could buy them "used" on amazon for cheaper and they'll say the condition, used like new just means box might be damaged and product itself wasnt touched.
Outside of that drop.com occasionally has nice sales or wait till black friday/amazon day

Man even the videos I’m seeing where they say the XM4 is a better value, they still end it with like “but if you got the Apple Ecosystem…”
I’ve looked at like 2 video/reviews out of 30 where someone actually stuck to saying you should get the Sony headphones over the Apple joints unconditionally.

falling into their trap lmao
falling into their trap lmao
? I don’t think you can rate the ease of access element unless you’ve tried it bro lol
I’ve used Windows laptops while owning apple devices, or Androids while using MacBooks, and Bose/Sennheisers while using both, all in the past.
They all are functional pairings, but you get the optimization aspect from having it all match. That sentiment didn’t come out of thin air lol
Now obviously if I listen to the AirPods Maxes and I think they’re even worse than my QC 35s, I can just take it back/flip em and go back
I’m not sworn to the Apple ecosystem, outside of my phone and primary laptop. Especially not the headphones. But I just know how good that integration has been with literally everything else in my life

i have the entire apple ecosystem including airpods pro’s and still idk i’m not sold on maxes
their aesthetic > any other headphones but that’s about it

The 5s seem to have their own set of cons in this discussion tho
Cuz those have the same general form as the newer Bose and these in that they don’t fold and they’re less comfortable than the 4s. I couldn’t really find anyone that vet the sound improvement as being bigger than the design drawbacks
The 4s were like $50 less so it just made more sense to me that if I was gonna pick one of the two and they were that close…yknow
u on d***
Actually just got off d***

I think they’re so 1 of 1, you really got to try em. Like the little s*** they get right, I don’t think any other headphone manufacturer is trying to go for. Maybe bc it isn’t relevant to most headphone users
I want to try the transparency mode, the spatial audio, see how the sound travels when watching stuff on an Apple TV/MacBook. If I try that and it isn’t really that engaging, you can always just get some run of the mill really good set of headphones after
