I suppose that the barrier to enter the charts and radio airwaves is so traditionally insurmountable that so called artists are forced to upload completely unrelated memes with their song ( s ) in the background as the attached sound on YouTube , IG , TikTok , etc.
Even if it doesn't bother you , I'm not the only person who has noticed this am I ?
Can you post an example
Niggas say this but mostly like upcoming trying to get on artists have to do this (make hella clips reels tik toks of them lip syncing the song in different places or dumb meme captions over the video)
Tik tok records like jack harlow truffle butter are probably being pushed more by user made tik toks
It bothers me that like most of the bullshit since 2016-17, its a self fulfilling narrative that has worsened the urban music industry that you have to make goofy online meme content or low effort lip syncing clips as opposed to just trying to make music like an artist that deserves our attention, critical acclaim and ticket sales lol

I don’t have Tik Tok so I guess I don’t even see it
The older you get you just start to accept how rigged all this s*** really is tbh and I hate how much it doesn’t bother me anymore ngl it just is what it is.
Take yourself too serious and you probably wont get noticed, take the meme/joke route and you’ll probably get noticed but you wont have any staying power and be considered a non-factor. If you’re a pretty girl you have a fighting chance but odds are she isn’t really a musician and people just like looking at her on ig.
The only people really winning are the ones that are backed by someone behind the scenes and we already know they’re not looking for actual talent just clicks and engagement and a return on their investment. The music industry is done.
