this argument is pretty good if we assume that everyone listens to music because they identify with the words communicated and the stories told, however that's not the case. many people do listen to music in that way, but some, and probably many, just listen for the sounds, and words come second or third or whatev in their priorities

u too with ur op i think i see what you're getting at with being wary of how nonblack ppl can basically use the stories/tropes that some hip hop music tells to inform them to act in certain ways. i've met many ppl who think they know black culture and issues because they read twitter and listen to hip hop but then stick to their mostly-white social bubbles, hardly engaging with black people or asking what they think's up
