i been seriously looking into it for about a month now, i’m starting to search around for classes and programs but just wanted to see if it’s some stuff i should know before fully committing.
I’m in sales. I would take a class to get your certs then determine what angle you wanna go from there. You can do sales, residential, commercial, strictly install or tech. There’s so many to choose from. And having your certs will make you way more appealing to company’s, because what separates you from the other 25 guys near you who are tryna do the same thing? My company is flexible to where I can dabble between being in the field or just sales, so if you can land that to get experience in both it wouldn’t hurt. I would definitely recommend commercial though if you choose the field, too many old f***s with nasty homes and crawlspaces.
All that being said, I don’t know s*** compared to the 15+ year veterans that dominate the industry. So research research research, I can’t stress that enough. Look up different roles with different companies and what feedback people have in general. Knowledge is power in any circumstance.
both friends I know who were going to do it switched to plumbing
hvac is supposed to be great tho, and no poo

why
currently looking at the trades myself but i got a cousin who does commercial hvac, he makes good money and he does jobs around my state so you should expect traveling if you're working for a contractor
I worked as a commercial plumber and you should join the trades. We need more hands on people in the world. Great money and opportunities
