Long as single player solid it's all good

GTA already is down a bad road, not only has multiplayer gone to s*** but the main stories and mission design has been THE EXACT SAME for literally every game

Every single mission goes like this

1.) Drive to waypoint
2.) Pick someone up and drive to another waypoint
3.) Shoot
4.) Drive to another waypoint

They've been doing this s*** since the 3rd one lmao, its the exact same with Red Dead too

It’s literally what gta has always been about lol. Plus that’s not even true not every mission is the same they switch it up from time to time but what’s the point of having a game where you can shoot and drive and not have those types of missions in the game

GTA online is like having to work

Naive, unfortunately. What often ends up happening is that the single player suffers in exchange for a very expansive multiplayer experience. MP is what brings in the money after release. Rockstar dipped their toes into the industry's new norm back with GTA Online and I can promise you they'll never go back to caring as much about SP as they used to. You already began to see a slight decline in 5's campaign story

These companies have investors and s*** as well. They're a business like any other, despite the genuine art they've made throughout the years, and those investors will expect continuous growth now that GTA Online was such a hit

E: and even with Red Dead, the story was awesome and the gameplay/world was incredible. But, multiplayer soon grew out and added a TON of s*** that single player will never see

GTAV is gonna be out for another 10 years. No reason to put out a new game when you can milk this one. People buying up shark cards and DLCs that contain like 2 cars.

shall we begin to discuss the enormous amount of game ruining connectivity glitches. like when the host leaves but actually never left. that means going back to free mode and restarting the mission. I mean ahahha...dude! I could go on FOREVER!

Yup all that new s*** is for the birds.

As long as the single player is good I’m happy with that. I can live without GTA Online

I only play for the single player. So as long as they keep the quality of that part of the game on point, I don’t care
