    AFAIK if the radiation is low enough it will only attack potentially dangerous cells and leave the healthy ones in tact

    If the cells are weak enough to be effectively treated by chemo they were already cancerous lol

    But you would never do this before you actually knew you had cancer wtf

    Interesting info. I was just using that as an example of a screening, I feel like we should have more screenings for more things more routinely

    But maybe that’s me being paranoid?

    All patients are recommended routine colon cancer screening, either beginning at the age of 45 or earlier depending on certain risk factors. All women are recommended cervical cancer screening. 99% of smokers are recommended one time lung cancer screening.

    And otherwise there’s some routine blood work that’s done that can point towards potential problems sometimes. And other than that everything else is based on symptoms
