Brian May’s guitar tone, Deacon’s grooves and Freddie’s singing abilities were second to none but I don’t think the aura of their music was up to par with those factors

yeah Freddie Mercury to me is one of my all time favourite frontmen

mfs were gassing them up in the early 2010s but i feel like there's a lot of stuff i didn't appreciate as much back then that i appreciate more now that i'm older

their appeal to me lies partially in how much pop sensibility the could incorporate into all of their music and also just the fact that Freddie and the rest were talented musicians who knew what they were doing. Great vocals and guitars on a lot of their tracks.

I’ve never f***ed with a full queen album except the greatest hits. So I could see someone saying they’re somewhat overrated. But if you don’t f*** with their greatest hits then something might be wrong with you. They have incredible hits.
