I feel like those lockdowns were a time for everyone to refocus and take a break

No FOMO bc everyone is just staying home
You remain in contact only with people that you really care about

You can focus on yourself without feeling any outside pressure bc literally everyone is at home working out how to be alone

And then summer came and restrictions were lifted of and everyone could come together and have an amazing time in the sun

And then again lockdowns happened and everything went silent

It's dumb I know bc I can literally do that without outside restrictions from the gov but it's just so wild that the last two years with covid were actually the best ones of my life

Kinda sounds like you want to handicap all of society because it caters to your own insecurity

Yep, unfortunately this is the new reality

  • Oct 8, 2021

I don’t want to work in an office again. That’s about it

  • WFH should be an option from this point on

A lot more work would get done.

oh to be young & naive

  • Oct 8, 2021

I get that but knowing the implications it had on the world and my life it's totally bs

  • Oct 8, 2021

it was pretty nice and chill but obviously untenable and undesirable

things pretty normal where i am now anyway and its def better this way

  • Oct 8, 2021

I get what you're saying op. I think there's things we can learn from the downtime we had and put them into practice as we return to "normal" (better work-life balance for example). But realistically we can't stay locked down, not everyone had as easy of a time with it as some of us did.

you are young and naiive apparently. an old person would remember what it was like to have been through a pandemic where everything changed and people believed in the moment that it would stay that way forever.

we are social animals and as soon as we aren't scared anymore, we will go back to normal behavior. mark my words

we already are justified in not being scared, but people's perceptions of the risk vary wildly. it will take some time but in a couple years, s*** will be largely back to normal

I just wanna keep limited capacity and at least 3 feet apart in lines.

Like how do you go from the heaven of 6 feet apart to having dudes all up on you at the grocery store

  • I wouldn't mind them keepin them stimulus checks coming...feel like they should have been sent another one out considering we still got variants n stuff going around...I do contact tracing and feel like it's busier now than it was earlier this year when I first started
