I live in the city of Birmingham in the UK and honestly I like it a lot but grass is greener syndrome kicks in
Plus outside of the south east of england the UK economy really ain't all that, and the government is a bunch of right wing incompetent

I have italian citizenship which p much guarantees me free movement around the EU, and the similarities between italian and spanish meant I could master it easily. But I also think about moving to montreal, which is f***ing difficult to do but looks like my kind of place.

    What about all of you?

if i had tens of millions of dollars, maybe, although in reality the move would just be a vacation home that i live in for short periods of time.

Ive thought about moving to EU in the past few months but stuff changed so I’m probably just gonna switch states if anything.

@op So you're complaining about a right wing government and lack of economic opportity outside the posher parts of England but want to move to Soutern Europe, that's tough man. I'd snatch at the opportunity to move to Brum, but the best I can do now is hope for Braam

I’m about 2 hours from São Paulo. About 1 hour from the next “big” city campinas

As a Black American I feel a special connection to this country- it would feel like running away to leave. Not like it’s in my hands to fix everything but we all have our small parts to play.. a little dramatic but I just feel too connected to all the problems this country has after growing up here. And I’m very attached to Black American culture too- figures like Baldwin (who I think felt a push/pull tug between his position in America and France) and Audre Lorde and Aretha Franklin are like ancestors for me and I’d never feel a similar cultural connection anywhere else. Maybe some parts of Africa but all that s*** is probably too hot for me

do it. it comes with challenges but is a lot easier than people think and gives you a new perspective on the world and life

    Yeah it's me daydreaming

The south of Europe is also pretty right wing (I'm italian mate it's f***ed). I dont have a problem with right wing governments it's just this lot in particular are terrible. I probably wouldnt be heading south either if I did move.

In all seriousness I do love my city, and probably wont be going if we're being real.

    Where you from though?
