I haven't listened to vaporwave in eons. Not sure why. It isn't bad. I think when I happened upon future funk and funk-adjacent soundcloud stuff I kind of fell off the vaporwave train and pivoted to that.

Actually, the only vaporwave I listen to is 2 8 1 4, if that counts as vaporwave to vetted listeners

it's a lot more ambient and synth heavy than other stuff i've heard. closer to early OPN than something like say Macintosh Plus. quite beautiful actually but then again i'm an ambient junkie
