I just wanted to know hows it going for yall?
Do the HVAC one if you’re serious about getting into a good paying blue collar job. There are TONS of young folks in the field that don’t know how to do S*** , the blue collar workforce is in a crisis trying to find young people that know what they are doing.

I’m not , but I am a blue collar worker and if I had to do it all over again I would have enrolled in an apprenticeship and join a trade union right after. It’s worth the extra pay, benefits, and training they do.
Plus blue collar apprenticeship programs and unions treat their workers pretty good and pay them handsomely.
I work at a shipyard that underpays their workers, and our union is weak, so there’s tons of abuse against the workforce there.
NEVER join a blue collar job w/out a union if possible
I took HVAC in high school for 3 years. It’s a pretty straight forward career besides installing new units which I hated. I did one year of apprenticeship doing service calls and it was pretty chill.
I didn’t stick with it cause the hours could get bad, some home owners were d***s like it’s my fault your capacitor blew and now you’re getting a 180$ bill for 10 mins of work. I didn’t like working outside in the winter and I’m pale af so working outside in the summer would send me right to an early grave.
This was 2012 I was making 22 straight outta hs and in the long term I probably would be better off financially if I stuck with it but I chose not to.
Plumbing, carpentry, electrical, hvac, auto mechanic and any other trade that falls under that umbrella you will make good money doing it. But it’s important you take care of your body because it is a tool and when you hit the field you will meet 40-50 year olds that move like they are 70 from all the bending and lifting and squatting and getting themselves in tight places to work.
