seems like healthcare the move
theres always work available in the special education field but its p much per diem work
Stem degree if you want money
If you wanna be happy that's something you have to figure out for yourself
u wont get anywhere with just a bachelors tho
Finally made my decision after much internal turmoil to pick a career. Been seeing too many people miserable in lucrative positions which is why I've felt I've taken so long to decide on something myself, but after speaking to someone in the field of Psych, finally decided.
Going to pursue a Psych Bachelors, then get a Masters for Counseling.
Wish me luck yall
I have a bachelor's that doesn't bring in any money for me, but I'm glad I stayed in school to complete my double major. It really helps me understand and empathize with people better and gives me insight into some of my own issues. I loved my psych classes.
One of these days, I think I'll get my MA and switch from teaching to school counseling. It's a lot easier long term than 30+ years of teaching and lesson planning and you get paid just as well, if not a little better.

At least you're pretty far already into your degree. All you'd need to do is get your Masters the your license and you should be set, but also really glad to hear you genuinely learned from those classes.
Mental health / just learning how I work has been a big interest to me my whole life.
Literally every girl I met in college who majored in psychology was absolutely batshit crazy now that I think about the dudes who majored in it were too
imma tell my son if he meets a psych major girl run as far as you can
if you tryna be clinical therapist would recommend other majors to be more competitive for med school
I have one and all it does for me is get a slight raise in my paychecks
Bachelor's or Masters? And what do you do
Bachelor's or Masters? And what do you do
Bachelor’s and just working in the school system adds a pay increase
Those entry level jobs have been hard to get cause I really didn’t want to go back to school again to get my masters like I barely graduated to begin.
Half of me thinks I should of just thugged it out but getting forced to move out right after graduating +worrying about making money & having my own freedom led me to just find an easier full time job to just live solo
So do the exact opposite lol

bruh anything else then STEM is useless. I really dont know what non STEM people do. If you do non STEM you really have to differentiate yourself, and be the best in your field to make money. But obvs living a good life is not a about making money and achivements, you also have to like what you do. But honestly, if you like stats, math, compsci, any hard sciences then you should hundred percent purse that instead.
get a stem career, but on your volunteer time you can work with clinics helping people with mental health.
If you are serious about psychology, you're going to have to get a PHD.
No but two of my friends are from that field. One didn’t finish and is now attempting to become a writer. The other will start her masters soon.
yea. i got mine in jail

It's not useless lmao, you won't get a job merely off the strength off your degree like stem, but if you're passionate about psychology, choosing to do stem because you have to put in more effort besides just the degree is not a good decision
@op while getting your degree work on your resume by getting a job as a research assistant or in healthcare that would be your best bet if you wanna specialize as a clinical psychologist eventually

Go PHD LEVEL
I’ve never had a problem with a Bachelors in ECON. No one understands the field that’s outside of it so I’ve benefited from it greatly. I’m a financial advisor for a Forbes ranked practice.
on the other hand I had a bachelors in Econ and got NO WHERE in the field until I had a masters.
Tbf I had no connections and no internships throughout my bachelors, and not the greatest GPA so I think that definitely soured my chances.
But I got into a top European economic school for my masters and now I'm an economist back stateside
EDIT: also if you want job outlook for economists and psychologists (or related jobs) here you go

Facts, psychology is extremely interesting and useful. Taught my dog how to sit after we did Pavlov

I can pass Math, but I hate Math lol
currently got a A in Stats thanks to the grace of open-note Exams being allowed
I'm going for masters in ABA therapy
If I dont get accepted I'm getting another bachelors to boost GPA and find consistent references
