Track pad has recently become f***ed up and almost impossible to click, every time I use it I feel like I’m fast tracking myself to RSI.

Took it apart and on my old ass model the battery is sitting below the trackpad. The battery pack is like a long black strip with two square blocks next to each other. One of the blocks is risen a lot higher than the other, corresponding to the side of my trackpad that is raised up (with the other side of the trackpad equally sunken in).

When I remove the battery the trackpad seems mad easy to click, so I’m guessing the problem is that the risen side is pushing too high on the pad to allow a smooth clicking motion.

Guessing that the battery might have swollen, but it doesn’t look deformed at all, it’s risen perfectly evenly across the whole square.

Any likelihood of fixing this myself from home?
