I’m currently enrolled in psychology, but I’m honestly considering switching to a music college. Anyone done this? Was it worth it?

It’s a very vigorous program, at least where I’m at. The fact you’re a psych major would help you a f***ton in music education specifically, because I’m practically a psych minor by the time I’m done with it. We need to take 12 credits of psychology, plus another 30 or so (might be more I’m not 100%) credits of other Gen Ed courses.
On top of that you have your music courses such as theory, ear training, music history, etc. all throughout the course of your 4 years. And on top of that you have to have an ensemble every year + chamber ensembles and a private lesson every week.

Damn that actually sounded incredible. Have u met artists that inspire you? That’s a big draw for me.
You’re most likely going to need to take 4 semesters of theory, 2 semesters of history, 4 semesters of ear training. Give or take though, this is all based on my university

For sure there’s inspiration everywhere. The good thing about a formal music education is that you get a lot of access to music everywhere! I’ve met tons of fantastic conductors and teachers just within my time in college, so yeah the inspiration is everywhere. Most everyone is passionate about what they do which is incredible to work with.
I minored in music
I have this option too but the music courses at my university are more about education and history than actual making music
My homies doing music therapy and he loves it
A bunch of my friends are in music programs and they love it too
For FREE too
