I know what Planet Fitness is. I’m aware it’s not good if you’re trying to body build or bulk up. That’s not what I am aiming for. I want to have a harder and toned body. Right now I am skinny but flabby lol.

What are your experiences with this gym? I always prefer to work out with barely anyone there so I hope they are 24 hour gyms.

Also I do not want to spend a bunch a month. Trying to keep it below $30 per month and the option to cancel anytime if I run into any financial trouble. I’ve been thinking about getting a membership for a while. There’s literally one right across the street from my house.

If you don’t care about the luxuries and obv don’t wanna pay tax for the bigger gyms it’s enough to get ur s*** done.

  • May 23, 2020

I’ve only heard bad things, like that weight dropping thing lol, they don’t call it planet fatness for nothing

Right near my house I got the only ufc gym within 20 miles so I just go there

It will have everything you need for the basics. It’s especially good if you go at night when there’s no one there.

    🚨Grunk alarm grunk alarm🚨

If you’re trying to go cheap it’ll work.

Not as bad people make it out to be. It’s got all the basic stuff you need and it’s super cheap. If you’re just trying to do cardio and lift a little bit, it’s a good deal.

Since it’s the cheapest no commitment option you do get a few weird mfs doing weird s***, but just ignore them and let them tire themselves out. They move on from machines fairly quickly. But truthfully there’s weirdos/assholes a lot of “better” gyms.

I think if you plan on going to the gym 2-3 days a week just to stay fit it’s a great option. If you plan on going to the gym 5-6 days a week maybe try for a nicer place that you will actually want to spend time in and enjoy.

Shoutout EOS! Really good gym for $10 a month

As much as they advertise it I’ve never seen any free pizza or bagels at my Planet Fitness. Candy sure, pizza and bagels no.

why is it bad for bulking/getting big? do they not have weights or something?

  • May 24, 2020

It was fine. Def prefer gyms with more stuff though. The contract not bad compared to other gyms and it's cheap but read it. Cancelation fee was ass

  • May 24, 2020

It definitely gets the job done op

I think their environment is for people who don’t want to feel intimidated or something by gym bro’s

Look into an anytime or 24 hour fitness. Usually tends to be smaller but has far better equipment necessary to building sufficient muscle and plus past like 9-10 there’s hardly anybody

They’re machine based and geared more towards women

  • May 24, 2020

It’s gonna be packed depending on the time you go but it is 24 hours. I’m fine with going there cause it’s cheap and I can work out without having to slam weights

Also there are some big mfs that go to planet fitness
