Its crazy how watches can just cost the price of a new car
S*** is robbery lmao
They’re not worth it OP trust me
I never wear mine because it’s just too big/heavy for casual use and it’s dangerous to randomly walk around the city with it on

Bought it yourself or passed down? Never thought of the dangerous aspect of wearing it in nyc
Thinking about buying my first one within the next couple months, leaning towards the Datejust 41 all steel/Wimbledon dial/jubilee/fluted bezel but I also love the batman gmt master ii
Drop some pics for some inspiration if you guys are into that kinda thing

If I could get any watch, it would probably be a Richard Mille. They so clean 😩
I’ve been studying the market for about a year. The only part that bothers me is that you have to pay resale for the watches you actually like.
Every single one I want is waitlist red and sells above retail, the concept is so foreign to me I never paid resale for sneakers always managed to get everything I want at retail.
I haven’t made my mind up yet but I’m leaning toward a plain silver dj41 as my first cop and asking the AD I buy from to put me up on a list for a blue or green sub.

I would never hop on the train. But it depends if you catch the 6 between fidi and brooklyn every other Wall Street bro has one on, I guess it depends where you live.
always got mine on
every so often i'll think about getting a rolex or something in that lane. feels like something that pre-covid would be something i'd wear a lot for work as well as personal reasons. it seems like this huge awful yuppie thing to me other times though so i never bite the bullet def gotta upgrade my watch game at some point either way

Investment. Some watches actually go up in price unlike cars

Silver dj41 is wicked nice as well. My second choice would be the slate dial with the white markers
I think the market for watches is super interesting, and i never realized that Rolex’s tend to be so scarce until i started looking for one though. But it makes sense, scarcity creates demand and exclusivity
would be too big for my skinny wrist probs
They make small ones, my brother is insanely skinny (like 130 lbs) and he has a 34mm datejust which looks really good on small wrists
It was on the cheaper side too, im pretty sure he only paid about 2500 for it. Not all rolex are as expensive as people think

Yeah if you live in NYC this is definitely understandable, ive had some sketchy experiences there even with a nice pair of shoes on
I live outside of Providence though and im never really in the city after dark unless theres some kind of special occasion

Take it slow, i went from a trash ass Invicta to a Hamilton then to a Tag Heuer. I’ve worn my watches every day though so im looking to upgrade into Omega/Rolex territory
