Speaking in Tongues is my favorite Talking Heads album. I'm actually looking forward to the cover band that's doing a 40 year anniversary show at my local venue that's gonna be performing the album and Stop Making Sense. Heard they're actually pretty good as far as cover bands go.
I'm still kicking myself for not seeing David Byrne early this year at Asbury.
I’ve never seen anyone have anything less than passionate praise for this
Definitely gotta fit this in sometime

Yeah man Ngl I have to start trying to get tickets for older acts. Missed out on seeing Janet live. Would love to see David Byrne live
i know a little bit of their music from their album Fear of Music, but i never gave them a proper discog dive
Tbh feel like performances back then had more soul and energy. Maybe it’s the lack of props and tech but there was something more tangible and wholesome about live performances in the 70’s and 80’s

Please do won’t be disappointed
one of my first 'favorite' bands, and although SMS is amazing it's hard to beat my favorite Byrne on-screen stuff in True Stories. it is also my favorite TH album next to Remain In Light

I slightly prefer Remain in Light. Idk but to be honest love all their albums equally. Speaking in Tongues seems to be everyone loves going to though. True stories I like a little more than Speaking in Tongues
