Parents in their late 50s , was wondering if anyone has any positive stories about covid survivors. They’re in their early stages of the virus and I’m just terrified of losing them. Was hoping for something to give me hope

My dad in his mid 50s, my sister in her early 20s, cousin in late 20s, my uncle in his early 40s, his wife same age range,

    They all recovered fine.

Several of my friends (early 20’s) have tested positive and were either fine after a week of flu-like symptoms, or didn’t show any symptoms at all

Two of my mom’s friends (almost the same age as your parents) had it and were also fine

Know one dude in their late 20's who was on a ventilator.. Spent like a month in the hospital. Other dude..early 30's...mild symptoms.

yea my uncle(60s and also diabetic with other health issues) had it, the cough was a little rough and fever for 3-4 days but recovered.

this was about a week ago, hes back home and as of now so lingering signs of it affecting his other issues.

probability is on your side, by a large margin, just make sure they take care of themselves and rest.

It’s dads 9th day and cough seems to get worse. If he’s just sitting there, it’s okay but soon as he tries to talk, the cough won’t let him. I’m scared that it’ll lead to not being able to breathe 😞 was really hoping this would start milding down by the 9th day

Around the 9th day tends to be the worst day, do your dad or mom smoke, are their immune systems compromised? My uncle is 59 with high blood pressure and he was fine. Everything will be fine my 👑 don’t stress brother ❤️

    Thanks for the positive words.
No mother ever smoked or drank. Dad has diabetes but controlled and mom has high blood pressure and asthma but asthma is mostly controlled.
Trying to be positive, just scared of losing them

Yea 2 people and they are good now

My wife's brother in law was really sick for a week or so but as far as I know he's feeling fine now.

I know someone else, an older friend of my mom's with asthma, she was having headaches for a really long time afterwards but is otherwise OK now.

Being scared of losing something you love is normal, shows your human. I firmly believe everything will be fine 👑 usually with Covid deaths its not like an overnight death thing, its usually like on a ventilator and their organs failed. I say this because that’s when you should worry worry. Nonetheless praying for you and your family, brother. Keep us updated.

I had it, but then again I’m young. Best advice I can give is to keep ur head up and don’t be negative around your parents. Them knowing they have support CAN make a difference. Also if not done so already, get them on vitamins and zinc.
