Probably the reason it’s sticking with me so much tbh. He’s been hinting at it for years, FML, Wolves, Ghost Town, God Is all were steps toward songs like Jail, 24, Believe What I Say, Moon, Lord I Need You, and holy s*** Come To Life. Amazing to see his raw voice with minimal autotune come to the forefront the way it has.

The dust is still settling, but it’s the progression in his craft throughout Donda that keeps me thinking this is topping TLOP. Just barely due to the bloat, some of the lyrics, etc. but it’s special for what it is man

Prefer Ye singing or rapping doesn't matter.

Exactly I love the rawer vocals. Makes it feel so much more emotional and hits like a ton of bricks. I love “Only One” it’s one of my favorite Ye songs and probably would’ve fit in perfect on this album. I kinda always wanted to hear the raw vocals for that but still hits.

Only One is one of his BEST songs

On this album, maybe I do.

But on Life of Pablo, I prefer the rapping songs like 30 Hours and No More Parties in LA.
