even if the term isn't used as much, the culture definitely exists. at least where im from. i live in vancouver and there are still lots of "hipster bars" that are kinda dingey, play good underground music, and everyone has tons of tattoos, edgy haircuts, etc

well main street got probably the most bars and s*** like that. then east van as well is kinda like the last remaining neighbourhood that isn't gentrified in vancouver
