  • As an official member of the 30 and up unc crew on here, I’ve decided to make an effort to work on my flexibility. Was wondering if anyone had any tips or recommendations or even testimonials on the benefits

  • yep im always doing yoga type stretches, splits and core workouts while watching movies

  • Yep. I do yoga and mobility exercises on some rest days. But i been slackin. Mainly cause im focusing on body weight exercises rn, and those movements have a bit of mobility work goin on at the same time

Def recommend it. Your body will thank you in the long run and even short term. I have no dull pains in my body ever and my functional movement is way more effortless, like when im moving something or practical s*** like that.

I’ve always been a weightlifter so it would be nice to balance that out

Just make sure u do it as a cool down instead of a warm up. Or on your rest days

it u can't at least touch ya toes, sit crossleg, and squat down atg with your heels on the ground with ease then u need to do sum bout that
if a beginner yoga class got u in pain then that's a sign to keep going to that class btw

being able to move thru ur body's natural and full range of motion means you can train that same muscle under tension, leading to greater gains

as a 20something 30-39 aint old and 40-49 ain't really either even if it's getting up there. ageism is too much yo. that being said we should all be training our flexibility to prevent injury and keep the body spry
